With a population of over 145K, Orange still contains many of the original structures built after the city's incorporation. The city is different from others in the OC because it has the second-largest assembly of historic buildings. Samples of architectural styles that can be found in Old Towne Orange are Hip roof cottage, Prairie Style Architecture, Victorian architecture, Arts and Craft Movement, Craftsman Bungalow, Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, Mediterranean Revival Architecture.

Points of interest in the city also include parks, zoos, wildlife sanctuary, lakes, and Chapman University. Most of Orange's residents are White along with a minority of African Americans and Asians.
