Brea

Brea means Oil or Tar in Spanish and is a city in Orange County, California. Set in the southeast of Los Angeles with a population of more than 42K.

The place was previously a center for crude oil production, and then later on it became a focus of citrus production.

It was in the late 1990s when a 50-acre place was redeveloped and made into a huge shopping and entertainment center with sidewalk cafes, comedy clubs, many shops, restaurants, movie theaters, and is now known as Downtown Brea.

Now, it has an important retail center because of the construction of the large Brea Mall plus the redeveloped Brea Downtown.
